Being Two

Christopher at two and a half...

The other day after listening to the demands of my two year old,  I realized he is in need of a sibling and this little girl can not come too soon.

Christopher loves to play outside.  If the neighbor kids are out, he has to be as well, he calls them "my kids" and tells me he needs to go see, " his kids".

Our seven year old Pomeranian Bono, has proven to be a great family dog and is Christopher's personal play toy.  If Christopher is in the backyard, there must Bono be also.  He drags the poor dog around on a leash and gets chased, hit, and loved.  Fritz on the other hand is terrified and has the right idea of running and hiding.  Even after a long day of two year old lov'n I will find Bono sleeping at the foot of Christopher's bed.

Christopher experienced his first theater movie this last month as we went and saw Rio.  I was going stir crazy as finals were under way and wanted to do something different, so Bryan suggested we go to a movie.  Bryan likes to spoil Christopher on occasion and thought it only right to have the full movie experience so we had a huge tub of popcorn and drink.  Christopher was scared when we went to sit down so Bryan took him out until the movie started and then brought him in.  We had a great time and there was no chasing him around, he happily sat in Bryan's lap and enjoyed the show.

When calling the dogs I usually call their names and clap. The other day at the science  center I was moving slow heavy with child, and Christopher wanted to get moving so he yelled mom and clapped for me.  This is now a regular occurrence.  I am not sure how I feel about it.

Yesterday as I was cleaning while Christopher was in watching a show and I heard yelling, as I got closer I could make out the words Sandwich being bellowed, and then I heard Mom sandwich being yelled as so I could hear.  As I stuck my head in I realized my little prince was giving me his orders.  Did I already mention I think this kid is a little too comfortable with his role of only child.

An no, he did not get into my eye makeup in this picture, some how some where he gave himself a black eye.

Christopher learning to find and crack the pecans from our yard.

Coloring...need I say more.

The Big Events

It has been a long time since my last post and I am not even going to try to catch up but here are some big events that are or just have taken place...

Baby #2 is on her way!  We are excited to be having a little girl due in the midst of chaos the second week of June.  The pregnancy really started to get fun when the morning sickness hit during Bryan's Dec. finals.  Now coming into the home stretch with just 3 week or so pregnancy has really started to get fun again as we are dealing with a move, and Bryan studying for the AZ Bar.  Timing may not be our forte, but we are so excited and the thought of this new addition keeps us going.

House for SALE...ask a pregnant women chasing a two year old how much fun this process is.  Keeping this place clean is next to impossible.  After almost three years Bryan has painted our last corner yellow, and installed  white outlets where they have been bare for almost three years. He just installed the fans back into the bathrooms where we have had bare bulbs hanging from wires and we are slowly scraping of any dropped plaster from doors and walls that occurred the first month we moved in.  We are going to have an electrician come in and fix the fan/light in the family room so we should be able to enjoy that for a month before we move as well.

May 14th 2011 Bryan graduated from law school.  I can not be more proud of him, we have come a long way to get here as a family.  This time here is just one small chapter in our lives and as difficult as it was at times, I am thankful for the last three years.  It's been hard to see friends leave over the last week, and to realize it is all coming to an end.

One more year...Bryan and I have decided to take on one more year of school so he can get his Tax LLM.  We will be moving to Denver and starting our next chapter.  While I don't think either of us are too excited about another year of school, we are ready for a change and the possibilities this extra year will hopefully bring.

Thank you everyone for your love and support over the past three years and currently...we could not have done it without great friends and family.
