Future Missionary

I took this picture through the screen door a couple weeks ago.  Christopher dragged a couple sets of scriptures out the back door, sat himself down, and began his studying.  This made my day!

Camping at Cap Rock Canyon

Bryan has been planning to take Christopher camping but last weekend they got rained out so this week   Bryan went with Pace R. Sydney and little Christopher to Cap Rock Canyon and had themselves a good time.

I got my second night off in two years as a mom and sat home, ordered a little Italian, stuffed myself on mozz sticks, pasta, bread, and dessert...yes I went all out and then sat and vegged out until 5 am. call me crazy.

I missed my two boys and was excited to have them home. A night off is good now and then, but I think I will keep them around.

Bryan caught the bug and is already thinking when the next trip will be.

Christopher is just like his dad, my boys love their hot dogs.
Until next time...

The Fair

We ventured to the Lubbock Fair last week with some friends.  The day was warm and the smells strong!  Christopher enjoyed the animals but was a bit overwhelmed and over extended.  We didn't last long but had to try some fair food before leaving.  Growing up and going to the fair with the orchestra or fiddlers (I am such a geek, but posterity must know) I always saved up for the rides and never really payed much attention to the food...but this time I thought why not!

The first purchase, a corn dog tasty, but lets keep going.  Thanks to Marrissa J., our husbands go to school together, insisted that we try  fried Oreo's so she purchased some and my life has changed forever!  After that I had to have a funnel cake since I just found out what they were about a year ago.  Fried dough...tasty, but give me another Oreo.  Next time I will be more adventuresome and try a fried snickers, but I might have to space my fair trips a little further apart, smelly and dirty are not really my thing.
